International KLE meeting .. 2011 ... !!

Dear friends,

We inform you about the planning International KLE meeting …. Spring or summer 2011 ………. somewhere in the Alps. (its Nearest to all )

Please response (in this topic) if you are interested in meeting maintenance and if you are interested to participate in the organization and planning of the event .
Currently this is only an idea and we hope that together we will determine the date and place of meeting.

an international meeting on the Alps, it's a good idea.
I think for a meeting in the Alps, the best time may be late June or July.
In May, some mountain passes, as the Stelvio, may be closed due to snow.
What do you think our friends in northern Italy?

La zona di Bormio è molto bella. da metà maggio in poi in genere Stelvio e Gavia sono aperti, ma è possibile anche che vengano chiusi in caso di condizioni meteo avverse.

Il giro Bormio - Passo del Mortirolo - Passo Gavia - Passo Stelvio - Umbrail pass - Ofenpass - St. Moritz - Passo del Bernina - Forcola di Lvigno - Passo del Foscagno - Bormio è un piccolo classico

Nel caso si può sempre contare sulla Svizzera, il Bernina, il Maloja, l'Albula e lo Julier sono sicuramente aperti.

Occorre poi verificare che le date non coincidano con il motoraduno dello Stelvio che è una bolgia infernale.

Come location alternativa le classiche Dolomiti per quella stagione in genere hanno meno problemi di maltempo. la Base logistica potrebbe essere Canazei o Cavalese ...

I agree with Duka66. An other option can be a tour in three country, Austria, Slovenia and Italy with base near Villach (Austria).
